St. Xavier’s High School, Jagdalpur celebrated November 14, 2024, Children’s Day, which marks the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India – Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru with enthusiasm and zeal, keeping in mind his words, “I may not have time for adults, but I have enough time for children.”
The celebration began with the teachers reciting the school prayer.It was followed by the dance performances of the teachers.The children came in colorful attire and seemed enthusiastic for the exciting day ahead of them.The children were thrilled and excitement was in the air when a group of teachers enacted the famous rhyme Naani Teri Morni. It was a treat for the eyes to watch such a unique performance by the teachers. The teachers also sang the melodious songs for the students.
The teachers showcased their talent by dancing on the peppy songs which also made the students to groove in. The teachers also played wonderful games with the students. Miss Sampurna Mishra (Zonal Head) and Mrs. Varshita Nayak ( Vice Principal) wished the students.She delivered a beautiful speech explaining the reason behind the celebration of children’sday and the legacy of chacha Jawaharlal Nehru’s works.
Of course, chocolates and snacks were presented to the children to make them feel special.
